3D Areola tattooing is mainly to assist breast cancer survivors in continuing their lives with some sort of normality. This procedure is not only for those who have been through a difficult and distressing cancer battle but for those who have had top surgery or have simply lost the colour out of their areola.
Even if your nipples remain after a breast reconstruction, they may be misshapen, scarred or uneven. 3D areola tattooing helps to bring visual balance and symmetry.
This procedure can bring back so much confidence and sense of self.
Please keep in mind that tattooing over radiated skin can result in a more dull tattoo, however, we can adjust the colour depth to assist with better retention.
This is done in 2 procedures spaced approx 3-6 month apart. As areola are lighter colours, you may need to visit for a colour boost every 2-3 years.
Placement, colours and size are all determined on the day.
