FAQs

  • As the years pass, so do trends. The ink is implanted into the Epidermis which is the very top layer of skin. It is the layer of skin that is constantly regenerating and therefore the tattoo eventually softens. There will always be some aspect of the colour that remains. How much, and what colour, depends on the initial colour used and how many layers of ink have been tattooed in over time.

  • Everyone’s skin is different and heals differently. The first session is a foundation session to see how your skin heals. At the second session we can go darker or thicker and we fill in any gaps that may have healed in once the skin shrinks back down. As the tattoo is also very superficially implanted it’s very easy for the crusting to come away before it’s ready which can make the tattoo appear patchy. We even out and “perfect” everything at the second visit.

  • Everyone has a different level of pain tolerance. I have some client who go without any numbing cream no some who still feel pain with numbing cream. To ensure you are as comfortable as possible I recommend you following the information on the numbing page on the website.

  • Nope. At Feather Perfection we pride ourselves on natural and realistic looking brows. We map your face according to your features and work with what you’ve got. We also choose a colour that is suited to your hair colour, brow colour, skin tone and undertone.

  • Firstly, if it’s work I’ve done for inspiration or celebrity brows you like, GREAT. This can be inspo only as everyone’s face is different so your brows will never be the same as someone else’s.

If you have inspiration of work done from another artist, please visit that artist for your procedure as we all have different techniques and styles that we pride ourselves on. What someone else creates may not be the style we like to create and put our name to at Feather Perfection.

  • Definitely not. Everything is mapped and checked multiple times with multiples different tools and apps to ensure they are spot on. You will always approve the shape before starting.

  • The face is a very sensitive area and numbing is recommended for your comfort. We have had clients go without for brows so it can be done.

  • If done correctly, no it won’t cause unslightly scarring. It is a very superficial cut in the top layer of skin. You shouldn’t even bleed if the skin is in good condition and the pressure is correct. Over time, as with any repeat trauma to the skin, minimal scar tissue will begin to build up. Even with a powder brow, this can happen if done incorrectly.

I find there are some artists who like to scare potential clients out of microblading as they are only trained in one technique.

  • It depends. If you have lost lots of colour in your lips and they have no defined border, adding colour to this dull area can make your lips look larger. However, lip tattooing can not be taken too far over the vermillion border as the skin on your face is different to your lips and they will be different colours and fade at different rates.
